About the Artist:
Mississippi native Karlous Miller grew up in a large blended family with eight siblings, shaping his sharp, unfiltered comedic style. Before stepping into comedy full-time, he worked as a firefighter in Oxford, Mississippi, but in 2005, he moved to Atlanta with one goal: making people laugh. Since then, he’s become one of the most dynamic voices in comedy today.
Best known as a veteran cast member of MTV’s Wild ‘N Out with Nick Cannon, Karlous has built an impressive career across television, film, and digital media. He’s appeared on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, MTV’s Joking Off, MTV2’s Uncommon Sense, BET’s Comic View, Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes, and HBO’s All Def Comedy. His 30-minute stand-up special aired on Kevin Hart’s Laugh Out Loud Network, he’s guest-starred on Family Time for Bounce TV, he co-hosted What’s My Secret? on MTV and his co-starring role in the horror-comedy feature film Haunted Heist alongside Lil Rel Howery and Tiffany Haddish debuted to critical acclaim.
A devoted hip-hop fan, Karlous has collaborated with artists like Jermaine Dupri, Case, Gucci Mane, Dem Franchize Boyz, Grandaddy Souf, Big Oomp, and T.I.’s Grand Hustle Comedy. His deep ties to music and culture shine through in his work, blending comedy and hip-hop effortlessly.
As the co-creator and host of The 85 South Show alongside DC Young Fly and Chico Bean, Karlous has built a massive fanbase. The podcast, which has been nominated for the iHeartRadio Best Comedy Podcast award, has grown into a cultural movement, selling out arenas nationwide. The trio’s 85 South: Ghetto Legends Netflix special debuted at #1, solidifying their impact on the comedy industry. In 2024, they curated and hosted their own lineup of comedians at the Netflix Is A Joke comedy festival.
Karlous is also a two-time host of BET’s Hip Hop Awards and has been featured in SpringHill’s Recipe for Change: Celebrating Black Men and Game Theory with Bomani Jones on HBO. He was a lead cast member on BET’s College Hill: Celebrity Edition, bringing his signature humor and authenticity to reality television. His viral appearance on Club Shay Shay with Shannon Sharpe amassed over 2 million views in just 24 hours.
As a stand-up powerhouse, Karlous consistently sells out shows nationwide. He recently wrapped his acclaimed solo tour, At the End of the Day, proving his staying power as one of the most electrifying comedians of his generation.
