About A.J. Johnson

One evening in the fall of 1989, A.J. had the good fortune to meet a great comedian that he really respected -- Robin Harris. Harris thought A.J was funny and encouraged him to try his hand at comedy. Once A.J. took to the stage, he found his passion and has kept audiences laughing ever since.

The talented kid from Compton has repeatedly caught the attention of industry leaders. Dr. Dre used A.J. in his smash hit video “Dre Day” as Sleazy E. while also appearing on “Showtime at the Apollo,” BET’s Comic View,” and “HBO’s Def Jam”.

He has been featured in box office hits “I Got The Hookup,” “Player’s Club,” “How To Be A Player,” “BAPS,” “Friday,” “House Party 1 & 2,” “Menace To Society,” “O,” “Lethal Weapon,” and “Panthers”.
